The congregations of Churchill & Gilford United Churches invite you to attend a walk-through farewell
celebration for The Reverend Glen Eagle and Wendy.
Glen & Wendy are moving to St. Joseph’s Island.
We wanted to host a massive celebration, with a biker parade, horses, floats and 15 food trucks, but
Covid is limiting our ability to celebrate, so….
On October 30th, 2021, starting at 12:30, we will be hosting a smaller celebration at Gilford United,
where you will be given a brief opportunity to visit with Glen and Wendy and offer your good wishes
and thanks for the time they have spent with us. Guests will enter at the front entrance of Gilford
United Church, and walk through to the hall at the back of the Church, where you will be able to briefly
visit with Glen and Wendy.
• Masking will be mandatory
• Double Vaccinated Preferred
• We are limited to 25 people in the Church at a time. Members of the Church
will be directing flow.
In order to manage the flow of visitors and respect Covid rules, we ask that you
arrive for the walk-through, based on the first letter of your last name, as follows:
12:30 – 1:15 A – G
1:15 – 2:00 H – M
2:00 – 2:45 N – Z
We ask that you take a few minutes to speak to Glen and Wendy and then move along so we can
accommodate as many well-wishers as possible.
If the weather co-operates and we are able to be outside, we will modify our program.
• There will be a guest book at the front of the Church for you to sign, for contact tracing
(if necessary), and we will be giving the book to Glen & Wendy.
• If you have a favourite photo of Glen & Wendy, or a card, we will be collecting them
at the entrance to the Church.
